Use company association in HubSpot to attribute partnership revenue

Associate a partner company to a HubSpot deal using a custom association label to track partner-sourced or partner-influenced revenue.

Written by Wouter Moyaert

Company association lets you link a partner company to a deal in HubSpot using a custom association label — such as partner sourced or partner influenced. It's more scalable than custom properties and gives you a clear, structured way to attribute revenue to the right partners.

Note: Association labels require a HubSpot plan that supports this feature. Check your plan before setting this up.

Step 1 :Create an association label

Go to Settings → Data management → Objects → Deals → Associations

Create a new association label with the following settings:

  • Objects you're associating: Deals-to-companies

  • Number of labels: A single label

  • Label name: partner sourced

Introw tip: Create a second label called partner influenced to also track deals the partner contributed to without sourcing directly.

Step 2: Associate the partner company to a deal

On any deal record, click + Add company and select the partner company. Choose the label partner sourced (or partner influenced) when associating.

Step 3: Introw automatically sets the association

Once configured and setup in Introw, all new registered deals coming from Introw will automatically associate the partner company with the right label and set the prospect as the primary associated company by default.

✅ Easy and fast set-up ✅ Scalable ❌ Requires association labels (not available on all plans) ❌ Reporting on this in HubSpot is limited
