How does the integration with Microsoft Teams work?

Learn how to link Introw with Microsoft Teams so you and your partners stay up-to-date.

Written by Wouter Moyaert

Get instant notifications in Microsoft Teams when there are updates in your Introw partner portal and keep your partner collaboration at an all time high.
All notifications on deal updates, form submissions, comments, mentions and task activity are pushed into your preferred Teams channel — both internal channels and shared channels with your partners.

In addition to notifications, the Introw AI Agent is available natively inside Microsoft Teams. Partners and internal users can register deals, add comments, create tasks, and pull partner insights directly from a Teams message — no portal hop required. Learn more about Introw AI agents.

Follow the steps below to learn how ⬇️:

  1. Go to Integrations and click Connect on the Microsoft Teams card

In Introw, navigate to Settings > Integrations and find the Microsoft Teams tile. Click Connect to start the authorization flow.

2. Sign in and grant permissions with your Microsoft 365 account

You'll be redirected to Microsoft to sign in. Approve the requested permissions so Introw can post messages in your Teams channels and surface the Introw app to your users.

Remark: depending on your organization's policies, a Microsoft 365 Global Admin may need to grant tenant-wide consent before the integration becomes available to other users. If you hit a consent screen you can't approve, share the link with your IT administrator.

3. Link your shared Teams channels to a partner portal

Once connected, you can map a shared Teams channel (a channel that includes external partner users) to the corresponding partner portal in Introw. All partner-facing notifications and AI Agent interactions for that partner will flow into the linked channel.

Remark: if a channel doesn't appear in the dropdown, make sure the Introw app has been added to that Teams channel from the Microsoft Teams app store, and that the channel type (standard, private, or shared) is supported by your tenant's external collaboration settings.

4. Choose which internal notifications you want to receive into your linked internal Teams channels

From the Microsoft Teams integration page, link an internal Teams channel and toggle which internal notification types you want to receive (e.g. notifications on all partners, only your own partners, or only partners you collaborate on).

5. Choose which partner notifications you want to receive into your shared Teams channels

You can do this in the navigation panel: Engage > Notifications and enable/disable the notifications you want pushed into the shared Teams channels with your partners (deal updates, form submissions, comments, mentions, task activity, sleeping deal nudges, etc.).

Using the Introw AI Agent in Microsoft Teams

Once the integration is live, the Introw AI Agent works in any linked Teams channel — both internal and shared with partners. From a single natural-language message, users can:

  • Register a deal by describing the opportunity in plain English. Introw structures and creates it in your CRM with all required fields.

  • Add comments to any shared CRM object (deals, leads, companies) without opening the CRM.

  • Create tasks with due dates and assignees to keep deals moving forward.

  • Prepare QBRs and pull partner performance insights directly into the channel.

Everything is synced back to your CRM in real time, structured, clean, and attributed to the right partner.
