How to set it up
1. Connect Chargebee
Go to Integrations > Chargebee and connect your account by entering your Chargebee API key. Once connected, Introw can read your billing data — invoices, subscriptions, and their properties.
2. Link Chargebee objects to your partners
Next, choose which objects you want to link to your partners. In most cases this is your invoices. To attribute an invoice to a partner, Introw uses a field on the invoice in your Chargebee account.
In the example, a custom field called Introw Partner is added in Chargebee as a drop-down to select the partner.
This can be any value — a partner name or an ID — as long as the mapping between Chargebee and Introw is set up. Once mapped, Introw tracks the attribution automatically.
💡 Note: Attribution lives on the Chargebee record, so the way you already tag partner-sourced revenue in your billing system carries straight through to Introw.
3. Build a commission plan on Chargebee data
When creating a commission plan, set the data source to Chargebee. Introw then pulls the relevant data directly from your account instead of your CRM. From there you define:
Object & commission date — choose the object the plan is calculated on (e.g. invoices) and the date that drives eligibility, such as the date an invoice was paid.
Conditions — decide exactly which invoices qualify. For example, only invoices with a status of
paidand a total> $25. You can layer on as many conditions as you like using any Chargebee property.Rewards — define what the partner earns, for instance 5% of the total billed amount on each qualifying invoice.
A live preview shows the potential payouts based on your rules, so you can confirm the right invoices are being captured before anything goes live.
4. Review payouts and line items
When you open a payout, Introw shows every commission line item for that partner. With a Chargebee invoice plan, each line item is one of the subscriptions or invoices your customers paid for and that is attributed to that partner — for example, 5% on the total billed amount of each Chargebee invoice.
5. The partner experience
Inside the partner portal, partners get a full overview of their commissions: what's pending, what's upcoming, and what has already been paid. For commissions powered by Chargebee, they can see that the payout comes from the actual invoices their customers paid — giving them complete confidence in the numbers.
