A step-by-step guide to make tabs visible for selected partner contacts based on different access levels within the partner organisation.

Use case

You may want to provide different levels of visibility to various individuals from your partner organizations. To achieve this, you can manage access on a per-tab basis.

Tab Permissions

You can manage the user access per "tab" in your template.
By default, partner contacts with access to the partner room can view all tabs.

In case you want to restrict the access, you can select or create a role and restrict the tab access to that role(s). This will result in the tab only to be visible for partner contacts that have this role assigned.

To limit the access:

  1. In the template editor, select the desired tab.

  2. Click the three dots and choose "Manage access.".

  3. Select or create a role

  4. Assign the tab access to that specific role(s).

This configuration ensures that only partner contacts with the assigned role can view the secured tab.

Assigning Roles to Partner Contacts

You can assign the roles your created to specific partner contacts so only they will be able to see the secured tab when entering their partner room.

To assign roles to partner contacts:

  1. Navigate to the partner contact tab "Access".

  2. Assign the desired role(s) to ensure they have additional access to the secured tab upon entering their partner room.
