Overview
Introw supports importing SCORM files as courses. This lets you bring in e-learning content built in tools like Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring and deliver it inside Introw.
You can simply import a SCORM file as a full Introw course. Introw processes the SCORM zip file and displays the content within the course, so a course you've already built in an authoring tool becomes a ready-to-assign Introw course without rebuilding it.
What is a SCORM file?
SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a technical standard for e-learning content packaging and delivery. It's essentially a ZIP file with a specific internal structure that allows learning management systems (LMSs) to import, launch, and track e-learning courses in a standardized way.
How does it work?
When creating a new course, choose the option to start from a SCORM file and upload the SCORM zip file on the next screen.
Introw will process the zip file and then display the SCORM content within the course.
Which SCORM files are supported?
Introw supports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 file types.
When downloading SCORM files from tools like Articulate, make sure to select the LMS option and then choose one of the supported file types.
Analytics & SCORM files
What Introw Tracks | Notes |
Course completion | Used for course progress and completion tracking |
Time spent on course | Captured at the course level |
Events within the SCORM file | Not tracked by Introw. This data stays within your SCORM authoring tool |
Here's how to think about analytics when using SCORM files:
Introw captures when a SCORM course has been completed. This allows admins to track the progression or completion of a course.
Introw captures time spent on a SCORM course.
Introw doesn't capture any events or analytics within the SCORM file itself. That data lives with your SCORM provider and authoring tool.
FAQ
Can I export Introw courses as a SCORM file?
No. Introw only supports importing external SCORM files. Introw courses cannot be exported as SCORM files.
Can I add additional content to a SCORM course?
No. All content is controlled by the external provider and SCORM file. It's not possible to add additional Introw content within a SCORM course.
My SCORM file isn't displaying correctly. What should I check?
Confirm the file was published as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 (not xAPI/cmi5)
Confirm you're uploading the
.zipfile directly — do not unzip it firstCheck that the zip file includes an
imsmanifest.xmlat the root level; if it doesn't, the package wasn't exported correctlyIf published from Articulate, re-export using the LMS output type and re-upload
