In complex channel deals, a sale often involves more than one partner such as a Reseller bringing in the lead and a Distributor handling the fulfillment. Usually, deal registration forms only credits the partner who clicks "submit," leaving you to manually link other partners later. Introw solves this by allowing you to capture secondary partner attribution at the point of entry. By adding a dynamic dropdown to your registration form, you allow partners to tag their collaborators from a pre-filtered list synced with your CRM. This ensures every stakeholder is fully attributed and visible the moment a deal submission is approved.

Video Walkthrough

Watch the video below to see how to set up a secondary partner attribution and how it simplifies the registration process for your partners.

How it works

When a deal is registered via an Introw form, you can configure multiple partner attributions simultaneously:

  • Default Attribution: The submitting partner is by default linked to the deal based on your specific CRM attribution settings.

  • Secondary Attribution: If enabled on the form, the submitter can select an additional partner from a dynamic dropdown. For example, a Reseller can tag their Distributor, or vice versa.

  • Dynamic Filtering: The list of available secondary partners is filtered in real-time using your CRM or Introw data, ensuring only eligible partners are selectable.

  • Automated Attribution: Introw applies the correct attribution to both partners, ensuring they both have visibility into the deal within their respective partner portals.

How to set it up

Step 1: Add a secondary partner field on your form

Navigate to the Forms section and open your deal registration form builder. Add a new field and select either Distributor or Reseller from the available field options. This field will appear to the partner as a searchable dropdown populated with eligible partners.

  • The field will render as a dropdown populated with eligible partners based on the applied filters (see step 2).

Step 2: Configure which partners appear in the dropdown

To ensure data quality, Introw can automatically make sure the correct partners appear in the dropdown:

  1. Set your filters

Use CRM or Introw data such as company or account type (e.g., "Distributor") or partner tier (e.g., "Gold") to decide which partners should be included in the list. This ensures the dropdown only shows partners that are actually eligible.

  2. Preview the list
Before saving, use the audience preview to see exactly how many partners match your filters (e.g., "9 partners match your filters"). This helps you verify that the correct partners will be selectable.

  3. Set the Attribution method
Define how the selected partner should be linked in your CRM. This ensures the secondary partner is attributed consistently according to your CRM setup.

Secondary partner attribution follows the same logic as default attribution and is also visible within the form’s automation steps, ensuring it is applied consistently.

Step 3: Save the form

Save your changes to the form. Whether you add the form to a Partner Experience, share it via a direct link, or embed it on an external website, Introw ensures the correct attribution is applied automatically upon submission. All partner attributions are set instantly into your CRM, so no manual updates are ever required.

From form submission to CRM sync

After a partner submits a deal, Introw processes the attribution once the form submission is approved. This ensures your CRM only receives verified, high-quality data:

  1. Review and Approval: Whether you use manual approval or auto-approval, the automated data-sync begins as soon as the form submission is approved.

  2. Default partner attribution: Introw instantly links the default partner to the new deal or opportunity in your CRM.

  3. Secondary partner attribution: The partner selected in the dropdown is simultaneously linked to the same deal ecord, ensuring both parties are fully attributed and have immediate visibility in their partner portals.

Key Benefits

  • Zero Manual Entry: Both the default and secondary partners are attributed automatically once the submission is approved.

  • Flexible partner roles: Easily track complex relationships, such as Reseller-Distributor pairings.

  • Dynamic accuracy: Use real-time CRM data to ensure partners only select from an eligible, pre-filtered list.

  • Full attribution: Ensure your deal records are 100% accurate from day one, reflecting the true involvement of your entire channel.
