To improve control and simplify deal collaboration, we’ve introduced a new visibility restriction feature based on a role permission called Collaboration Restriction. With this permission enabled, partner contacts will only see deals where they are marked as a collaborator.
How can this help your partners?
Improved data privacy: Protect sensitive deal information from being accessed by unintended partner contacts.
Focused collaboration: Ensure partner contacts are only involved in deals where they are actively contributing.
Streamlined experience: Reduce noise by showing each partner only the deals they need to work on.
This feature is ideal for partners with multiple team members handling different deals concurrently, ensuring that each partner user only accesses relevant deal information.
How to configure this?
Go to portal settings > partner roles
Add or update a role by clicking the ⚙️ icon.
Enable the "Collaboration Restricted" permission
💡 Introw tip: Set a default partner role for when adding new partner contacts and optionally link it to a CRM property of your partner contact to keep it in sync.
How does it work?
When a partner contact submits a form to register a deal via Introw, they are automatically set as the collaborator on that deal.
This ensures they immediately gain access to the deal they’ve submitted, without requiring any manual setup.
If the (defaulted) partner contact role has the “Collaboration Restricted” permission, this also means the deal will only become visible to them maintaining secure, relevant access with minimal effort.
💡 Introw tip: Partner contacts without the “Collaboration Restricted” permission will continue to see all deals based attributed to them as a partner in general.
2. You can assign collaborators manually to a deal (or any other shared CRM object) in case there is no collaborator assigned yet.
When a collaborator is assigned to your deal they will get automatic updates about changes on the deal they are assigned to as collaborator.
