You rarely want a brand new partner to land on Advanced Sales Training on day one. You want a path: Introduction to Acme → Basic Sales Training → Advanced Sales Training, where each course opens up only once the one before it is done.
In Introw you build that path with two things you already use: segments and course enrollment. There's no separate sequencing engine to configure, and no enrollment list to maintain by hand.
How it works
Courses enroll partner contacts through segments, and segments are dynamic — membership is re-evaluated automatically as data changes. One of the conditions you can build a segment on is whether a contact completed a specific course.
Put those two together and your curriculum chains itself:
Level 1 · New partners — condition e.g.
role = Sales rep→ enrolled in Introduction to AcmeLevel 2 · Basic sales — condition
completed course = Introduction to Acme→ enrolled in Basic Sales TrainingLevel 3 · Advanced sales — condition
completed course = Basic Sales Training→ enrolled in Advanced Sales Training
The moment a contact finishes Introduction to Acme, they join the Level 2 segment and Basic Sales Training appears in their portal. Finish that one, and Level 3 unlocks the same way. You don't touch anything.
How to set it up
Step 1: Create your courses
Go to Portal → Courses and build each course in the curriculum. Keep them as separate courses rather than modules of one course — that's what makes the sequencing possible.
Step 2: Create one segment per level
Go to Settings → Segments and create a partner contact segment with Dynamic enrollment for each level:
Level 1 — the entry point. Use whatever defines a new learner, e.g.
phase = Onboardingorrole = Sales rep.Level 2 — condition: completed course is Introduction to Acme.
Level 3 — condition: completed course is Basic Sales Training.
Step 3: Assign each segment to its course
Open a course, click Configure (gear icon) and scroll to Enrollment settings. Select the segment that should be enrolled. Repeat for each course.
That's the whole setup. Three courses, three segments, three assignments.
💡 Introw Tip: Combine conditions to make a level more precise — for example completed course = Introduction to Acme AND role = Sales rep, so only sales contacts continue down the sales track while technical contacts follow their own path.
What your partners see
Partners only ever see the course they're ready for. The next one appears in their portal automatically when they complete the current one, so the curriculum feels like a path rather than a catalog.
Because segments are evaluated continuously, this works for partners who join later too — a contact added six months from now enters at Level 1 and moves through the exact same sequence, without anyone enrolling them.
Good to know
Add as many levels as you want. The pattern doesn't change: one segment per level, each conditioned on the previous course being completed.
Attach a certificate to each course so partners get recognition at every step, not just at the end.
Track where everyone is from the Enrolled tab on each course, or in partner analytics — a partner sitting in Level 2 for weeks is a nudge waiting to happen.
Reuse the segments elsewhere. The same "completed Advanced Sales Training" segment can unlock a portal tab, an asset folder, or the ability to register deals.
