Partners access your portal via a secure, passwordless login flow. Authentication is handled primarily through One-Time Passcodes (OTP) sent via email. For organizations that require it, Single Sign-On (SSO) is also supported.
This approach ensures robust security while maintaining a frictionless experience for your external partners.
How partners log in
Partners can access the portal through several entry points. Regardless of how they arrive, the authentication process follows the same secure principles.
Supported entry points
Invitation Emails: Direct links sent when a partner is first invited.
Portal Login Page: Your dedicated URL (e.g.,
partners.yourdomain.com).Email Notifications: Direct links to specific deals, leads, tickets, or tasks.
Slack Notifications: Real-time updates in shared channels.
Authentication Methods
1. Login via One-Time Passcode (OTP)
OTP is the default authentication method to login to the partner portal.
Step 1: Initiation: The partner enters their email address on the login page or clicks a link in an invitation/notification email.

Step 2: Verification Email: A unique six-digit passcode is sent to the partner’s work email.
Step 3: Verification: The partner enters the passcode into the login screen.
Step 4: Access Granted: The partner is securely logged into the portal.
❗ Remark: Each unique one-time passcode (OTP) is valid for 15 minutes and can only be used once. If a code expires, the partner must request a new one from the login screen.
2. Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your portal is configured for SSO (default enabled for Google, Microsoft, or configured for a custom SSO), partners can bypass the email verification flow. By selecting their provider on the login page, they are authenticated instantly through their organization's identity provider.
Accessing via Notifications
Email Notifications
When partners receive updates on deals, leads, tasks, announcements or anything related to them from the partner portal, the process is streamlined. (See notifications)
Click: The partner clicks the "View Deal" (or similar) button in the email.
Session Check: * If they have an active session, they are taken directly to the specific record and no verification flow is required.
If their session has expired, they are prompted to authenticate via OTP or SSO.
Redirect: After a successful login, they are automatically redirected to the exact page linked in the notification.
Slack Notifications
If you have the Slack integration enabled, partners can receive updates directly in linked channels.
Click: The partner clicks the link within the Slack message.
Access: Just like email notifications, if the partner is already logged in, they land directly on the relevant deal. If not, they will be asked to complete the quick OTP or SSO verification first.
